Liebe Luise u. Angehörige

Mühringen 18 Dez. 1872.

Gestern Abend ist endlich unsere Ernstine wohlbehalten hier angelangt, wir habens kaum erwarten kenen, den jetzt geht das Geschäft streng, wir sind G.s.d. wohl hoffe von dir auch, die l. Mutter ist mit Genseaussieden [?] beschäftigt. Kan heute nicht schreiben lest dich grüßen wir probiren das die 3 lebern heute noch fortkommen. Sie wigen gut 3 lb. verkaufe so gut du kenst, wirst auch vom Jettele lebern erhalten haben kenst ja das Geld miteinander schicken wir überschicken dir auch von Gensefleisch das dir gut geschmekt wens von zu Hause komt.

Deine weitern verlangten Gegenstände werden wir dir später schiken der [illegible] hatt nicht alles lasst bald von dir angenehmes hören grüßt dich dein Vater H. Schweitzer.

Meine Theuren!

Gestern Abend 9 Uhr kahm ich wohlbehalten in Mühringen an u. traf die l. Eltern Gottseisdank recht munter die l. Mutter war aber beschäftigt das Gansfleisch koscher zu machen so dass wir heut Metzelsuppe haben wir sind so treu Euch auch davon zu senden man hätte doch die Gans nicht anders schicken können. Die Hauptsache davon erhaltet Ihr wünsche guten Appetit

L. Louise die Lebern sind schön denke daß dafür ein guter Preis bezahlt wird wie [illegible] hier wo wir die für Lois verkauften ich hoffe daß sie wohl behalten ankommen das Geld dafür kannst ja vieleicht mit Schillings die wahrscheinlich auch noch nicht erhalten aber erwarten voraus Schicken aber gut besorgen wir möchten es nicht haben [sentence confusing] den in Stuttgart werden sie auch gut bezahlt,

von Horkheim aus hatte keine Zeit zum schreiben wir waren sehr vergnügt beisammen waren in Heilbronn im Theater, ich erhilt Montag Abend von Herrn Weil einen Brief der hätte schon Sontag ankommen sollen allein es wird ja in Horkheim nicht ausgetragen am Sontag, es hätte mich sehr gefreut in Stuttgart ihn zu treffen.

Louise kannst Dir denken daß heute nur das nöthigste Schreiben kann sobald ein wenig in Ordnung folgt ein ausführliches Schreiben meiner Reisenabenteuer nach wie geht es bei Euch ich hoffe nur angenehmes zu erfahren hat sich das Geschäft noch nicht gebessert nehmt im voraus

Allen die herzlichsten Grüße sagt nehmt meinen Dank für Alle Aufmerksamkeit besonders gegrüßt ist der l. Julius u. l. Mutter auch Sophie soll uns auch schreiben, die l. Mutter wird heute nicht schreiben sie ist sehr [illegible] u. ich eile daß die Lebern mit diesem Zug weggehn. Besorgt sie L. Louise wir erwarten von Euch auch bald Brief lebt wohl nach dem Wunsch Eurer Ernstine Schweitzer

Dear Louise and family:

Mühringen, December 18, 1872.

Last night our Ernstine finally arrived here safely, we could hardly wait since business is going strong now. Thank God we are well and we hope the same of you. Dear mother is busy with preparing geese, she cannot write today and sends her regards. We will try to ship the three livers by today. They weigh well over three pounds. Sell them as good as you can, you will also have received livers from Jettele. You can send the money together though.

We are also sending some of the geese meat to you that you liked since it comes from home. We will send the other items that you had asked for later. [illegible] has not everything. Let's hear some pleasant news about you soon. Best regards from your father H. Schweitzer. Many greetings to Julius & mother.

My dear ones!

Last night I arrived safely at 9 pm in Mühringen and found the dear parents quite well, thank God. Dear mother was busy to make the goose meat kosher so that we have Metzel soup [soup made on butchering day in Southern Germany] today. We are so loyal to send you some. It would not have been possible to send the goose otherwise, though. You will get the main part of it, enjoy the meal!

Dear Louise, the livers are nice, I think that a good price will be paid as [illegible] here where we sold them for Lois [? type of currency]. I hope that they will arrive safely. Maybe you can send Schillings instead. You have probably not received them yet but expected already. Send goods ahead but do it well, we don’t want to have it [sentence confusing] since they are also well paid in Stuttgart.

I did not have time to write from Horkheim. We were very happy together. We went to the theater in Heilbronn. On Monday night I received a letter from Mr. Weil. It should have arrived on Sunday, there is no mail delivery in Horkheim on Sundays, though. I would have been very delighted to meet him in Stuttgart.

Best regards why has [illegible] [illegible] [illegible]? Dear Louise, you can imagine that I can only write the bare necessities today. As soon as I am a little rested again I will follow up with a detailed letter about my travel adventures. How are you doing, I hope to learn only pleasant news. Has the business not improved yet? In advance best regards to everybody and take my thanks for all the attention. Special greetings to dear Julius and dear mother, Sophie should also write to us.
