Contribution Terms of Service
We welcome citizen researchers to contribute to German Heritage in Letters by sharing historical letters and other items in their possession and items for which they are authorized to grant permission for reproduction. In agreeing to these terms, you are confirming that you have the authority to grant permission to publish any material you upload to our website or to other file-sharing services (as directed by project staff). You are also providing German Heritage in Letters and its associated research partners a non-exclusive license to use any and all intellectual property derived from the material you contribute.
In registering as a contributing user of this website, you are consenting to the use of your name, address, email address, and other relevant contact information to inform you how your material is being used and to answer any questions you may have. You will have the ability to state how you wish your material to be credited (for example, with your own name or as an unnamed private contributor). You have the right to withdraw permission to use material you have contributed, and any such material will be removed from public view and our content-management databases.
