Digitization Day in Philadelphia

• Philadelphia, April 27, 2019 •

In collaboration with the Joseph P. Horner Library of the German Society of Pennsylvania, this “Digitization Day” event invited members of the public in the Philadelphia area to bring historic correspondence for digitization and inclusion in the “German Heritage in Letters” project. Horner Library staff created a display of original archival correspondence from the library’s collections, and project manager Atiba Pertilla gave a talk discussing the project's importance as part of the cultural heritage outreach of Wunderbar Together. Attendees brought original letters and scanning facilities were provided for individuals to contribute their correspondence to the project.
